| 内容記述 | Few years after the era of the turning century, Japan has been experiencing a difficult economic downturn trend in every aspect. The decline of domestic tourism business especially in Group tours, tourism related industries have to go back to the business which they riled upon so heavily about 50 years ago, the tourism from oversea. In the same token, the ministry looking after the tourism, The Ministry of Transport has been amalgamated with the Ministry of Construction. To make this match up feasible, the ministry has to look new venture in the area which they govern. In tourism, "Welcome Foreign people" is a perfect target to meet the needs. In Tohoku area, there are many committees to create new tourism business which were organized by the Ministry. The author chairs some of these committees to seek this area to be the place to visit by foreign people especially those from Asian counties. This is a mid-term report to study present situation of the business and propose the tactics to capture 2 trillion markets-1.3trilion of China and 700million of East Asia. The paper outlines present tourism environment of Japan and this area-Southern Tohoku, then evaluate potential neighboring countries such as China and Korea.. I concluded this paper to introduce the ModeI Course for visitors oversea in Southern Tohoku area. -EAST-WEST connection. Again, I stressed that making Japan as tourism prosperous country, we have to break through many barriers and this Tohoku area can be a breakthrough for Japanese Tourism especially on foreign tourist market. | |||||||||||
