| 内容記述 | This study aims to identify the difficulties faced by disaster support nurses dispatched to disaster-stricken areas during dispatch activities. Ichushi-Web (version 5) and CiNii were searched using the keyword "disaster support nurses" for articles published in Japan from 1995 to2 023. Additionally, the websites of the Japanese Nursing Association and prefectural nursing associations were searched for reports on disaster support nurses' activities. Subsequently, 51 articles and reports were selected for analysis. Regarding difficulties faced by these nurses during their activities, 12 categories were extracted. The items before dispatch were as follows: "Preparation of supplies and mental preparedness with limited time and informations," and "Inadequate understanding of their dispatch on the part of their institution and family members." Items during the activities were: "Roles that were not clearly defined and activities that they had not expected," "Autonomous nursing practices with limited duration and resources," "Reconciling autonomous work with the requirements in the field," "Understanding the roles and collaboration of multiple professions," "Taking care of yourself mentally and physically while working in a harsh environment," "Reducing the workload of local nursing staff," "Engaging with survivors, " and "Providing nursing care to meet the changing needs of disaster survivors." Items after returning home were: "Reflecting and evaluating one's own dispatch activities," and "Caring for their own body and mind after returning home." Disaster support nurses engage perform activities in disaster areas after receiving dispatch requests and continue to experience difficulties even after returning home Nurses must strive to improve their practical nursing skills to reduce physical and mental hardship experienced during relief activities. They must also improve their self-care skills to prevent the deterioration of their mental and physical condition. |
