In Sendai, about 300 suburban housing estates have developed by private companies after the 2nd World War. New estates are being developed although the population increase in Sendai approaches to zero. 0n the other hand, old houses are being rebuilt into apartments for single persons. Environments change, and old human relations are lost. In the open class, we examined the factors which secure environments and the relationships between inhabitants in suburban housing estates through the workshop on Teraoka and katsura in Sendai. |
