Each school runs its own operation with tuition fees as its main source of income, but the details of their operations have not been made public.\nThe purpose of this paper is to examine the actual status of operations and financial situation of overseas supplementary schools using the results of a questionnaire survey. The survey was sent via email to 200 schools in 2017, and 54 schools all regions filled out the online questionnaire form.\nWhen we looked into the changes in the total number of children/students over the five years from 2012, we found that 11 schools were experiencing a decrease. In addition, when we looked into the percentage of locally employed teachers who were eligible for government subsidies, we found that the overall average was only about 60%.
