The survey was conducted in the context of Miyagi University’s campus and affiliated farm being certified as an Other Effective area-based Conservation Measures (OECM) site by the Ministry of the Environment, with the aim of providing a basis for designing environmental education programs that make use of campus forests for students and local residents. In addition, participants were asked about their engagement in Pro-Environmental Behaviors (PEBs), preferences for animals, plants, and insects, concerns about global environmental issues and their own future, and demographic attributes such as gender. Correlation analyses were conducted between these variables and the CN and NEP scores.\nThe results revealed the levels of students’ connectedness to nature and environmental attitudes, which serve as a foundation for developing educational programs. Significant positive correlations were observed between CN and NEP scores and PEBs, while significant negative correlations emerged between these scores and concerns about the environment and personal future.
