Therefore regional networks are essential for infection control in medical facilities. However, few regional networks exist in Japan. So, in March 2005, we established a network of infection control nurses in Miyagi prefecture in order to improve infection control. The infection control nurses in Miyagi prefecture who are members of the network are sharing information, training together and giving and receiving professional advice. We report here about one year preparation for establishing the network and the current activity of the network. In addition, we consider matters for future our
