| 内容記述 | The main purpose of this Article is to reexamine concepts of urban, rural and suburban areas in changing Japanese society from viewpoints of reality and actuality. Japanese society shifted from industrial society to the society where consumption was dominant. By the process, hierarchy in commerce collapsed, and the suburbs which could efficiently offer "database" of consumption to inhabitants spread. We think about regional problems from viewpoints of reality that is the side of materials and actuality that is the side of ideas. Regions as reality is landscapes, and regions as actuality is experienced when consciousness of active inhabitants accord with the regional principles. So far the side of reality in regions has been made much of. However, it becomes necessary to make much of actuality from now on, because it can regain original merits of urban areas which have the principle of innovation and rural areas which have the principle of stability. Besides, it is an extremely important problem of Japanese society to think about relationship between urban, rural and suburban areas to keep the balance between the principle of innovation and the principle of stability. | |||||||||||||||||
